ULF
Edgartown LLC is the partnership that owns the
Colonial Inn and is the developer of the Edgartown Residence
Club. ULF Edgartown, LLC is also part of the Island Resort
Collection, a privately-owned firm focusing on the development,
ownership, and management of small,
distinctive inns and resorts worldwide. IRC's philosophy
is grounded in three points:
a. It's destinations must
be world class.
b. It's properties must be
unique representations of the destinations in which they are located, providing
a style and ambiance that reflects the locale and its culture.
c. The service at these resorts
must be a reflection of the best the locale has to offer. Mike
Mellor, one of the
partners in ULF Edgartown LLC, has been an integral part in the development
and sales of the Edgartown Residence Club. Mr. Mellor has a wide range
of practical skills and experience in finance, development, construction,
and the management of hotels and related projects. These combine with his
educational background to provide us with a unique resource within the industry.
He is a graduate of Cornell University's prestigious School of Hotel Administration
and American University's MBA program, giving him the foundation
for over 25 years
of success in the real estate and hospitality industries. Russell
Urban is the managing
partner of ULF Edgartown LLC and a Martha's Vineyard resident.
He is a resort real estate veteran, having worked with both Marriott
and Interstate Hotels, and founded three companies in the hotel
industry. Mr. Urban is very active within the industry.
He has been a speaker, organizer and moderator of industry functions
in New York, Los Angeles,
San Francisco, Toyko, Hong Kong, London, Atlanta, Miami and Chicago.
A lso a Cornell graduate,
Mr. Urban has been a lecturer at Cornell University, as well as an
active member in the Cornell Hotel Society — the hotel industry's strongest alumni
organization where he is currently the International President. |
